*UNLIKE PREVIOUS POST, THIS POST WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS*
As requested, I will be doing a synopsis/description of some of the major characters strewn throughout the story Forever Odd by Dean Koontz.
Danny Jessup- Danny Jessup was the original reason that Odd Thomas made his way to the burnt casino. Odd woke up to find Danny's dead father, Dr. Jessup, lingering in his bedroom and when he arrived at Danny's house he found Dr. Jessup dead and Danny gone. Danny was disabled, one of his legs was longer than the other and he was a hunchback, so when Odd did find him in the casino he was in serious pain.
Datura- You could easily say without a doubt that Datura was Odd's main antagonist in this book. She had found out through Danny that Odd could see the dead and believed that Odd could also do other amazing powers. She was superstitious and paranoid of death. She did many things that she believed would keep her alive including eating a banana a day and killing innocents and stealing their souls. She thought that ODd's soul would be the perfect soul to keep her alive forever but first she wanted to show him the dead. In the end of the book to kill Datura,Odd distracted her while a cougar snuck up behind her, and allowed it to kill her.
Cheval Robert and Cheval Andre- The absolute loyal followers of Datura. They listen to every order and follow her everywhere she goes.because of there formidable size and Datura's hate for Odd this makes the worthy foes for him. In the end Odd is able to kill both of them though not in the cleanest ways.

Forever Odd
The book that I just recently finished reading was Forever Odd by Dean Koontz. This book follows the character Odd Thomas on his second misadventure to date. The character Odd Thomas has an amazing gift that helps him along on these adventures, he can see the dead. So when Dr. Jessup, a local English professor shows up at his house, he knows something is wrong. He arrives at Jessup's house to find the his bedroom covered in blood and his crippled son, Danny, missing. Before He is able to track down the people who did this he gets electrocuted by a man who, as he describes, looks of a lizard. This leads to a long adventure including trips through the sewers, an old, abandoned, burnt down casino, a crazy woman and her two blood drinking henchmen, a mountain lion and many, many awkward situations. If I could I would love to dive into detail of the events that did take place during the story but I'm afraid telling you any more would just ruin the story for you. So if you really want to know what happens to Odd, Danny and the crazy woman then you should pick up the book yourself.
I truly enjoyed this book a lot and it is most definitely on my suggestion list. To understand the book fully I would suggest that you read the first book in the series Odd Thomas, considering that there are a measurable amounts of references to this book. Lets start with the positives. The book contains the strangest characters that have yet been introduced to the series each given there own piece to the story. The oddities in the characters and the circumstances in witch they meet lead to some pretty interesting dialogues and descriptions. As always with Dean Koontz the over all idea of the story just seems to leap out at you as your reading and his writing style greatly benefits the story-line. But with great positives come not as substantial but a still relevant negative. The one giant complain that keeps me from giving it 4 out of 5 stars is a problem that is apparent in many books. The story line just feels rushed. it just seems like one thing happens, then the next and then the next without any real lead ups or breaks. I don't know if the book just should have been longer or maybe less jumbled but it is definitely a very blatant issue. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. :)
